Romans 7:10

What does Romans 7:10 mean?
Paul is describing a painful discovery: the very law that was supposed to lead to life actually brought him face-to-face with death. When he encountered God's commandment seriously, instead of it saving him, it revealed how deeply he struggled to obey it, and that struggle led to spiritual death. This captures something many people experience in their own journey. We might follow rules hoping they'll make us right with God or fix our lives, only to find that trying harder just exposes how stuck we are. Paul's point isn't that God's law is bad, but that rules alone can't transform us from the inside.
