Romans 6:13
“Also, do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.”
What does Romans 6:13 mean?
Paul is calling us to stop offering our hands, minds, mouths, and bodies to sin—to stop letting them be used for harm or wrongdoing. Instead, he's inviting us to give ourselves completely to God, almost like someone who's been dead coming back to life and now has a second chance at living for something that actually matters. The shift he's describing is practical, not just spiritual. It's about what you actually do with your time and energy. When you're tempted to use your talents or your platform or your influence for something that pulls you away from God, you're choosing which master you'll serve. Paul's asking: why offer yourself to sin when you could offer those same abilities to God and to building something good?
