What does Romans 12:15 mean?

Paul calls us into a deeply human kind of love: the willingness to actually *feel* with others rather than just performing kindness from a distance. When someone celebrates good news, they need your genuine happiness alongside theirs, not just a polite congratulation. When someone grieves, they need someone willing to sit in that sadness with them, not someone trying to rush them toward feeling better. This isn't a command to fake emotions you don't have. Instead, it's an invitation to let other people's joy and sorrow touch your own heart. It's what transforms a community from a collection of isolated people into a family where everyone's experiences matter.
