What does Psalms 95:9 mean?

God is reminding the people of Israel about their ancestors' behavior in the wilderness after leaving Egypt. Even though they witnessed God's miraculous power firsthand, parting the sea and providing food and water, they repeatedly questioned whether God could be trusted and demanded proof. This verse captures that painful pattern: God had shown them his faithfulness through undeniable acts, yet they kept testing him anyway, essentially saying "prove it again." It's a tender but honest reflection on how humans can doubt even in the face of evidence, and how that doubt grieves the heart of God who longs to be trusted.
