Psalms 77:7

What does Psalms 77:7 mean?
The psalmist is pouring out the raw question that rises up when pain has lasted so long that hope feels fragile. He's asking whether God's kindness has simply run out, whether he's been permanently abandoned. This isn't a question meant to be answered with theology, but rather the kind of desperate cry we might recognize from our own darkest moments when everything feels like it will never change.
