Psalms 66:5
“Come, and see God’s deeds— awesome work on behalf of the children of men.”
What does Psalms 66:5 mean?
God is inviting us to pay attention to what he's actually done, not just what we imagine or hope he might do. The psalmist is pointing to real moments in history where God acted powerfully for his people, from delivering them out of Egypt to sustaining them through wilderness and conflict. When we're discouraged or doubting, this verse encourages us to look back and notice the evidence already there, the ways God has shown up before. It's both a comfort and a gentle challenge: stop and really see what's happening around you and in your own life, because God's faithfulness is visible if we take time to notice it.
