Psalms 66:6
“He turned the sea into dry land. They went through the river on foot. There, we rejoiced in him.”
What does Psalms 66:6 mean?
God parted the Red Sea so the Israelites could escape slavery in Egypt, then they crossed the Jordan River to enter the promised land, both miraculous moments that showed divine protection and power. The psalm shifts from "they" to "we," inviting the reader to feel personally part of that ancient story of deliverance. When we go through our own difficult passages, this verse reminds us that God has a history of making ways through impossible situations.
