Psalms 43:2
“For you are the God of my strength. Why have you rejected me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”
What does Psalms 43:2 mean?
The psalmist is caught in a painful contradiction, which is exactly why this prayer feels so honest. He calls God "the God of my strength," affirming his deepest faith even while his circumstances say otherwise. Then he turns around and asks God directly, "Why have you rejected me?"—because that's what it feels like when life is hard and no help arrives.
