Proverbs 15:9
βThe way of the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but he loves him who follows after righteousness.β
What does Proverbs 15:9 mean?
God's love isn't blind to how we live. This verse contrasts two paths: one marked by wickedness that deeply offends God's holy nature, and another marked by the pursuit of what's right and good. The beautiful part is that God's heart actively goes toward people who are genuinely trying to live with integrity, even when they stumble along the way. It's an invitation, really, to understand that seeking to do right matters to God because it matters to Him personally.
