What does Proverbs 15:10 mean?
When we turn away from wisdom and refuse to listen when others try to correct us, we set ourselves on a path toward real harm. The verse isn't talking about physical death so much as a kind of spiritual and relational deterioration, the slow dying that happens when pride keeps us from growing or changing. The first part acknowledges that discipline feels harsh when we're receiving it, but the second part suggests that rejecting all correction is actually far worse.
