Proverbs 15:11
“Sheol and Abaddon are before Yahweh— how much more then the hearts of the children of men!”
What does Proverbs 15:11 mean?
Death itself and destruction hold no secrets from God, so imagine how completely He sees into the human heart. This verse reminds us that while we might hide our true thoughts and feelings from others (or even from ourselves), nothing escapes God's awareness. The point isn't to make us fearful, but to anchor us in the reality that God knows us fully and still loves us, which can bring freedom in confession and honesty. We're invited to stop performing and simply be known.
