What does Proverbs 15:8 mean?
God cares far more about who we are on the inside than what we do on the outside. The ancient Israelites brought sacrifices to worship God, but this proverb cuts through any false confidence that following rituals alone matters. If your heart is turned away from God and others, going through religious motions doesn't impress him, no matter how impressive the gift.
