Numbers 33:6

What does Numbers 33:6 mean?
After leaving Egypt, the Israelites made their way in stages, and this verse captures one of those early stops on their journey toward freedom. Succoth was their first camp after the exodus, and Etham marked the next leg as they moved toward the wilderness. The mention of Etham being "at the edge of the wilderness" suggests they were transitioning from more settled land into uncertain terrain, which mirrors the bigger spiritual shift they were experiencing. Sometimes our own journeys of faith involve uncomfortable transitions too, moving from the familiar into something new and sometimes frightening, but always led by God's presence.
