What does Matthew 5:10 mean?
When Jesus says blessed are those persecuted for doing what's right, he's naming a deep kind of happiness that doesn't depend on your circumstances. He's not celebrating suffering itself, but rather acknowledging the spiritual reality that when you've stood firm for what matters most, you're already connected to something eternal and unshakeable, which is God's kingdom.
