What does Matthew 10:27 mean?
Jesus is encouraging his disciples to boldly share the message they've learned from him with everyone, not keep it hidden away. The "darkness" and "whispered" parts represent the intimate, private moments when Jesus taught them directly, while the "light" and "housetops" mean publicly and openly. He's telling them that the truths he's sharing shouldn't be secret or shameful, but worth announcing to the whole world. This invitation still applies today: if something has genuinely changed your life or brought you peace, you don't need to apologize for it or hide it.
