Matthew 10:26
“Therefore don’t be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed; and hidden that will not be known.”
What does Matthew 10:26 mean?
Jesus is telling his followers not to be paralyzed by fear of those who might oppose or persecute them. He's reminding them that nothing stays hidden forever, nothing stays buried, and ultimately truth has a way of coming to light. In the immediate context, he's sending out his disciples to share his message knowing they'll face resistance, so he's offering them courage: don't shrink back because you're afraid of what people might do or say about you. There's a deeper comfort here too, for anyone who's ever felt silenced or misunderstood, Jesus suggests that the true story, the real truth about who you are and what you stand for, will eventually be known.
