What does Mark 6:38 mean?
Jesus is about to feed over five thousand hungry people, and he starts by asking his disciples what food they actually have on hand. It's a practical question that forces them to acknowledge their meager resources: just five small loaves and two fish. In that moment, the disciples are probably feeling the weight of an impossible task, realizing how inadequate their supplies are for the crowd pressing around them.
