What does Mark 2:23 mean?
Jesus and his followers are walking through a grain field on the Sabbath, and the disciples pick some heads of grain as they pass through, likely because they were hungry. What seems like an innocent act of picking food becomes the setup for a conflict, because Jewish law prohibited harvesting (or what could be considered work) on the Sabbath rest day.
