Mark 12:5
“Again he sent another; and they killed him; and many others, beating some, and killing some.”
What does Mark 12:5 mean?
Jesus is describing what happened when a landowner kept sending servants to collect what was owed to him from his tenants. Each time, the tenants rejected and harmed the messengers, escalating from beatings to murders. This parable reflects the actual biblical history: God repeatedly sent prophets to call Israel back to faithfulness, and many were imprisoned, beaten, or killed for their message.
