What does Mark 11:15 mean?
Jesus walked into the temple courtyard and found it had become a marketplace. Money changers and merchants selling sacrificial animals had set up shop right there in the sacred space, and Jesus responded with rare public anger, overturning tables and driving them out. What bothered him wasn't commerce itself, but that these transactions were happening in a place meant for prayer and worship, especially in the area where non-Jews were welcome to encounter God.
