Mark 10:15
“Most certainly I tell you, whoever will not receive God’s Kingdom like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.””
What does Mark 10:15 mean?
Jesus is saying that entering God's kingdom requires a kind of openness and trust that children naturally have. A child receives gifts without demanding to understand every detail first, accepts help without pride, and trusts their parent's care without endless skepticism. When we come to God, we need that same humble receptiveness, that willingness to be loved and guided rather than to figure everything out on our own terms. This doesn't mean becoming childish or gullible, but rather setting aside the defensive walls and self-reliance that often keep us distant from God. It's an invitation to stop performing, stop earning, and stop trying to control how grace works in our lives. The kingdom of God comes to those willing to receive it the way a child receives a parent's embrace, without qualification or reservation.
