Mark 10:16
βHe took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands on them.β
What does Mark 10:16 mean?
Jesus is receiving the children that his disciples had been trying to turn away, and in this moment he does something deeply tender: he holds them close, speaks blessing over them, and touches them with intention. It's a picture of complete acceptance and care, especially striking because children had little status or power in that culture, yet Jesus treated them as worthy of his full attention and affection. When life feels small or overlooked, this image reminds us that we're not beneath notice, and that being truly seen and blessed by someone matters more than we might think.
