What does Luke 9:25 mean?
Jesus is asking us to think honestly about what really matters in life. He's pointing out that chasing money, status, power, or possessions so desperately that we abandon our values, relationships, and inner peace is a terrible trade, no matter how successful it looks on the outside. You might accumulate everything the world celebrates, but if you've become someone you don't recognize or respect in the process, what have you actually gained? This cuts to the heart of what many people discover too late, especially those who've climbed high only to find themselves spiritually empty or disconnected from what they love.
