What does Luke 8:6 mean?
In this part of Jesus's parable about a farmer scattering seeds, some land on rocky soil where there's not enough depth for roots to take hold. The seed sprouts quickly at first, which might look promising, but without real moisture and soil to sustain it, the plant dries up almost immediately. Jesus uses this image to describe people who hear his message with initial enthusiasm but lack the deeper spiritual foundation to keep that faith alive when life gets tough.
