What does Luke 7:21 mean?

Jesus wasn't answering questions with words alone, but by acting. When John the Baptist's disciples came asking if Jesus was really the one they'd been waiting for, Jesus responded by spending time healing people right in front of them: those suffering from sicknesses, those tormented by spiritual darkness, those who couldn't see. His point was that actions speak louder than theological arguments, and that the evidence of God's kingdom at work is visible in restored bodies and freed hearts. For people in genuine suffering, this moment shows that Jesus didn't just teach about compassion, he embodied it, and he invites us to recognize his presence through how the broken are being made whole.
