“You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake.”
What does Luke 21:17 mean?
Jesus is preparing his followers for real opposition, not promising comfort or ease. When you stand openly for Christ, some people will reject you, mock you, or treat you poorly, simply because you bear his name. This isn't a threat meant to scare, but honest truth: choosing Jesus publicly sometimes costs you relationships, reputation, or acceptance in your community.
