What does Luke 18:30 mean?

Jesus is making a stunning promise to anyone willing to leave behind comfort, family, or security for the sake of following him and serving others. He's saying that such sacrifice isn't a loss, but a gateway to abundance, both in this lifetime through deeper relationships and meaning, and eternally in God's presence. The "many times more" suggests that what we gain through faithful living far outweighs what we gave up, though the rewards aren't always what we'd expect or measure in conventional ways. This is Jesus's way of assuring people that commitment to him and his kingdom is never wasted, even when the cost feels real and immediate.
