Luke 18:15
βThey were also bringing their babies to him, that he might touch them. But when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them.β
What does Luke 18:15 mean?
When parents brought their small children to Jesus hoping for his blessing or healing touch, his own disciples tried to turn them away. The disciples seemed to think Jesus was too important or busy for something as ordinary as children. But this moment sets up Jesus' response in the very next verse, where he welcomes the children and says that the kingdom of God belongs to people with childlike faith and openness, showing us that Jesus always made time for those others overlooked or dismissed.
