What does Luke 14:10 mean?
Jesus is teaching his listeners to let go of the hunger for recognition and status. Instead of fighting for the best seat at a dinner table, he's saying, choose the humble spot—and you might be pleasantly surprised when the host honors you by inviting you to a better place.
