Luke 12:16
“He spoke a parable to them, saying, “The ground of a certain rich man produced abundantly.”
What does Luke 12:16 mean?
Jesus is introducing a story about a wealthy farmer whose land has produced an exceptional harvest. This parable that follows becomes a lesson about the danger of storing up possessions and forgetting about God and others, but it starts here with a simple fact: the man has more than enough. The abundance itself isn't the problem, but what the farmer does with it (and what he fails to do) reveals what his heart truly values.
