He reasoned within himself, saying, ‘What will I do, because I don’t have room to store my crops?’

What does Luke 12:17 mean?

A wealthy farmer in Jesus's parable is facing a good problem: his land has produced so abundantly that his barns can't hold everything. But instead of feeling grateful or thinking about how to share, he talks to himself about his storage crisis. He's already mentally trapped in a cycle of accumulation and self-protection, calculating how to keep more for himself. Jesus tells this story to show how easily prosperity can become a kind of blindness, where we miss what matters most while puzzling over how to secure what we already have.
