What does Joshua 24:14 mean?

Joshua is speaking to the Israelites at the end of his life, calling them to make a final choice about who they will follow. After reminding them of everything God has done for them, he challenges them to stop worshipping the false gods their ancestors relied on before and during slavery in Egypt, and to commit fully to serving the true God instead. The phrase "in sincerity and in truth" means wholehearted devotion, not just going through the motions. This moment captures a turning point: Joshua is essentially saying it's time to stop straddling two worlds and to choose genuine allegiance with all your heart.
