What does Joshua 17:5 mean?

When the Israelites divided up the promised land, the tribe of Manasseh received an unusually generous allotment. This verse records that they got ten portions of territory west of the Jordan River, and on top of that, they already held significant land east of the Jordan (Gilead and Bashan) that had been given to them earlier. It's a reminder that Manasseh was one of the most substantial tribes, with resources spread across both sides of the river to support their growing population. For those in the community watching how God provides or how families and communities are sustained, this shows how different groups received different measures based on their needs.
