What does John 9:24 mean?

The religious leaders questioning the formerly blind man are pressuring him to deny what Jesus did for him. They're essentially saying, "If you really want to honor God, you'll agree with us that Jesus is a sinner and couldn't have healed you." It's a moment showing how people sometimes use faith language to manipulate others into seeing things their way, especially when those things threaten their authority or beliefs. The man faces a choice: side with the powerful people questioning him, or stick with the truth of his own experience. Many of us recognize that tension, whether we've felt pressure to deny what we've witnessed or questioned whether we should trust our own eyes when others insist we're wrong.
