John 6:35
“Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.”
What does John 6:35 mean?
Jesus uses the image of bread and water, things everyone needs to survive, to describe what he offers spiritually. When he says he's the bread of life, he means that coming to him satisfies the deepest longings we have, the hunger and thirst that money, success, or relationships alone can't fill. This promise isn't primarily about physical hunger but about the sense of emptiness, searching, or spiritual void that many people carry. Believing in Jesus and turning toward him is presented as the answer to that fundamental human need, the thing that finally makes us feel whole.
