What does John 4:37 mean?
Jesus is speaking about the spiritual work happening around the Samaritan woman at the well. He's explaining that her encounter with him is the fruit of work that others started long before, and that the disciples will eventually gather what he's now planting. It's a reminder that meaningful change rarely happens in one moment or through one person alone. When you see someone come to faith or experience transformation, countless prayers, conversations, and faithful efforts from others have usually prepared the way.
