What does John 3:7 mean?
Jesus is telling Nicodemus not to be shocked by what sounds like an impossible or strange claim. Being "born anew" (or "born again") means experiencing a fundamental spiritual transformation, not just going through the motions of religious practice. Jesus is gently saying that this radical inner change isn't optional or bizarre—it's the actual requirement for entering God's kingdom.
