What does John 11:25 mean?
Jesus is making an extraordinary claim here: that he isn't just *offering* eternal life, but that he *is* the source of it. When he says "I am the resurrection and the life," he's saying that anyone connected to him through faith enters a relationship so real and transformative that death loses its final say. The second part clarifies what this means practically: physical death becomes a transition rather than an ending for those who trust in him. This wasn't meant to deny that believers will physically die, but rather to promise that their relationship with Jesus continues beyond that boundary, and that their spiritual life with him is the deepest reality, not their mortality.
