What does John 11:15 mean?

Jesus had deliberately stayed away while Lazarus was dying, and now he explains why: he wanted the disciples to witness something so undeniably powerful that it would reshape their faith from uncertainty into conviction. He knew that seeing Lazarus raised from the dead would prove his authority over death itself in a way that no amount of miracles or teaching could quite accomplish. But then Jesus immediately pivots from explanation to action with "let's go to him." He's not asking them to sit with the theology or wait for perfect understanding. Even though going to Bethlehem meant risking his own life (the religious authorities wanted him dead), he moves forward with purpose. It's a beautiful reminder that sometimes our deepest growth in faith comes through experiences we don't expect and circumstances we'd never choose, but Jesus walks into them with us anyway.
