Jeremiah 5:13
“The prophets will become wind, and the word is not in them. Thus it will be done to them.””
What does Jeremiah 5:13 mean?
When people reject God's word repeatedly, they eventually lose the ability to hear it at all. Jeremiah is saying that the false prophets who dismissed God's message will themselves become empty and powerless, like wind that carries nothing of substance. Their words will scatter and vanish because they never truly carried God's truth in the first place. It's a sobering picture of what happens when we consistently turn away from what God is trying to tell us.
