What does Jeremiah 22:12 mean?
This verse speaks to King Jehoahaz of Judah, who was taken captive to Egypt by Pharaoh Neco around 609 BC. The prophet Jeremiah is delivering hard news: Jehoahaz will spend the rest of his life in foreign captivity and will never return home, never see his beloved Jerusalem again. It's a stark reminder that choices have real consequences, and sometimes those consequences are final.
