Hosea 7:10
“The pride of Israel testifies to his face; yet they haven’t returned to Yahweh their God, nor sought him, for all this.”
What does Hosea 7:10 mean?
Israel's own arrogance is becoming a witness against them, visible to everyone around them. Yet despite all the evidence of their need and all the consequences piling up, they refuse to turn back to God or genuinely seek him out. The verse captures something painfully human: we can watch our own downfall happening and still stubbornly resist the one thing that could help us. Pride keeps us from admitting we were wrong and from taking the humble step of returning.
