What does Genesis 45:2 mean?
Joseph has just revealed himself to his brothers, the very men who sold him into slavery years ago. His tears aren't quiet or private, they're loud enough that everyone in Pharaoh's palace notices, and word spreads quickly through the court. In that moment, Joseph's grief, relief, and overwhelming emotion break through all the formality and power he's maintained as Egypt's second-in-command.
