What does Ezekiel 35:3 mean?
When God says he is "against" Mount Seir (representing Edom, a nation that had repeatedly harmed Israel), he's speaking through the prophet Ezekiel to warn of serious consequences for their cruelty and pride. The image of stretching out his hand is one of active judgment, not passive disapproval. Edom had taken advantage of Israel's suffering and showed no mercy to people who had once been their relatives, so this prophecy announces that such behavior invites God's direct response.
