Ezekiel 13:10

“‘Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, “Peace;” and there is no peace. When one builds up a wall, behold, they plaster it with whitewash.

What does Ezekiel 13:10 mean?

God is calling out false prophets who reassure people everything is fine when danger is actually coming. They're like someone who slaps whitewash (a cheap, flimsy coating) over a crumbling wall, making it look solid from the outside while it's rotting underneath. When crisis comes, that wall will collapse and everyone will see the deception. This speaks to any moment when we hear comforting lies instead of honest truth about our situation. Real peace doesn't come from pretending problems don't exist, but from facing reality with God's help.
