What does Ezekiel 11:14 mean?

This is one of the many moments in Ezekiel where the prophet receives a direct message from God. The phrase itself is simple but marks an important threshold: what follows will be God's words, not Ezekiel's own thoughts or observations. For the original audience of exiles in Babylon, hearing that God was still speaking to them through a prophet would have been deeply reassuring, a sign they hadn't been abandoned despite their distance from home and temple. When you encounter this opening in Scripture, it's an invitation to listen carefully to what comes next, trusting that God still communicates His heart to His people.
