Ezekiel 11:15
““Son of man, your brothers, even your brothers, the men of your relatives, and all the house of Israel, all of them, are they to whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, ‘Go far away from Yahweh. This land has been given to us for a possession.’””
What does Ezekiel 11:15 mean?
God is showing Ezekiel that the people left behind in Jerusalem are claiming the land as their own reward, while dismissing the exiles as separated from God's presence and care. The repetition of "your brothers" emphasizes how painful this division is, since these are Ezekiel's own people turning their backs on the exiles and treating them as cast-offs.
