What does Exodus 6:10 mean?
God is initiating direct conversation with Moses, calling him to listen and receive a message. This simple opening appears repeatedly throughout Exodus as a way of showing that God actively communicates with his chosen leaders and doesn't leave them guessing about what he wants. In the context of Exodus 6, Moses has just expressed deep discouragement about his mission to free the Israelites, so God's deliberate choice to speak to him again is itself a reassurance that he hasn't abandoned Moses or his people.
