Exodus 4:16
“He will be your spokesman to the people; and it will happen, that he will be to you a mouth, and you will be to him as God.”
What does Exodus 4:16 mean?
Moses was afraid and reluctant to speak to Pharaoh, so God arranged for his brother Aaron to be his voice. This verse describes their partnership: Aaron would speak the words that Moses provided, becoming Moses's mouthpiece to the Egyptian people. In turn, Moses would stand in the position of authority and direction over Aaron, much like how a prophet stands in God's place when delivering God's message. It's a picture of how God often works through partnerships, using people's different strengths to accomplish his purposes even when we feel inadequate for the task.
