What does Exodus 15:20 mean?
After the Israelites miraculously crossed the Red Sea and escaped Pharaoh's army, Miriam leads the women in spontaneous celebration, taking up an instrument and moving in joy. This is one of the Bible's earliest glimpses of a woman in a leadership role, and her action captures something beautiful about human nature: when we experience deliverance or grace, we naturally want to express it physically, together, in community.
